Raised in Massachusetts, Laurie attended Salem State College where she received her BSN and R.N. She married soon after, and took a break from nursing to raise three amazing children, all now grown and with adventures of their own.
While her children were in school, she was involved in many volunteer opportunities through her town, church, and school. She was honored to be asked to serve on the board of The Kerry Jon Walker Fund at its inception in 2010. She is pleased to have a further reach in her ability to help others, from Boston to Rwanda to the Navajo Nation. Charity may begin at home, but what a blessing to help the lives of others so many miles away!
