Mindy Sherman

Melinda (Mindy) Sherman is a teacher in the Boston Public School System at Muriel S. Snowden International High School. She is a Special Education Teacher and Community Service Coordinator for the school’s International Baccalaureate Program. Mindy is an educator with over 28 years of experience. Prior to teaching in the Boston Public Schools, Mindy taught in the field of alternative education at Walpole High School and at the Compass School in Boston.

In 2011, Mindy began working with The Kerry Jon Walker Fund which provides service learning opportunities for Boston public high school students. Traveling with The Kerry Fund to Rwanda and Navajo Nation has been an amazing opportunity for Mindy and her students. She shared, “I’ve learned about diverse cultures, the benefits of providing wrap-around services for children at risk, the devastating effects of genocide, the rebuilding of a nation, and much more. I have the utmost appreciation for the Kerry Fund and the work they do to provide my students with life-changing travel opportunities for service learning.”
